Such obvious, shameless hypocrisy is a reason why I left the Conservative Party.
Apparently, using Liberalist (I have used the software - great stuff) to make sure voters get involved in the process is far too partisan but this isn't and neither is this.
Not to mention the Conservatives use a very similar software called CIMS to do the exact same thing (and as a former Tory staffer I can personally confirm CIMS has been installed on HoC computers in Hill Offices and used by HoC staff.)

They ae so jealous and inane...acting like spoiled brats.
Who paid for CIMS - the party or was it bought with taxpayer money, do you know?
Assuming the Tories didn't buy CIMS using taxpayer dollars, I don't think it's fair to make that comparison. (Yes, perhaps they shouldn't be installing it on their computers at work. But technically, I shouldn't be writing this comment from work either).
If the article is accurate, I think the senators were wrong on this one.
penlan - Unfortunately I don't know who paid for CIMS. It was before the 2006 election that it was purchased, that's all I know.
ML, It would be interesting to know how the CIMS was paid for. If the Cons asked the govt. for money & got it or if the Party paid. If it was the former it would make it hypocritical of them to make a stink about the funding the Lib Senators are asking for. But what's new eh.
It wouldn't surprise me one bit if it turned out CIMS was paid for by taxpayers. God knows that even if it wasn't, the Tories have spent so much public money on partisan causes that they're beyond hyprocritical either way.
If I had a nickel for every time the Tories' words contradicted their actions, I'd be able to buy a small European principality.
